Overview
The program trains geologists for the fields of geology and mineral resources, supporting sustainable infrastructure development, rational use of natural resources and the reduction of natural hazards. Following the motto “active learning, learning by doing”, the interdisciplinary curriculum covers engineering geology, hydrogeology, mineral geology, petroleum geology and environmental geology. Students practise on modern equipment and join two field trips every year, in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Da Lat, Nha Trang and Ha Tien.
Career Opportunities
Graduates work in construction, transport, mining and environmental companies; in government agencies for natural resources and environment, construction, transport, agriculture and science and technology; and in research institutes in southern Vietnam.
