Overview
The program trains engineers to research, design, operate and manage pollution treatment systems. Students learn water supply and wastewater treatment, air emission control, solid and hazardous waste treatment, reuse and recycling technologies, and environmental monitoring, together with environmental management, environmental impact assessment and cleaner production. There are two specializations: Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Processes, Equipment and Control. Students learn by doing in laboratories and on site visits, and join research projects in their final year.
Career Opportunities
Graduates work in environmental agencies, industrial park authorities, factory environment, health and safety departments, environmental consultancies and water supply and drainage companies, or teach and do research. The University also works with Japanese companies to recruit graduates to work in Japan every year.
