Overview
Water is the foundation of life, economic development and environmental security. The program trains graduates to survey and assess the quantity and quality of surface water and groundwater, plan the use and protection of water resources, and apply mathematical models, IT and decision-support tools to water management, disaster prevention and climate change adaptation. The curriculum (126 credits) covers earth sciences, meteorology, hydrology, hydrogeology, water policy and law, GIS, water quality analysis and artificial intelligence.
Career Opportunities
Graduates work in government agencies for water resources, environment, agriculture and infrastructure; in water resources survey, planning and monitoring units; in consultancies and operators of irrigation, water supply and drainage works; and in organizations applying GIS, modelling and digital technology to water management.
